Overview
Root joined the Disciples of Divx a long time ago. He followed his roommate at the time, Discrete, into the guild after hearing about the Penny Arcade Alliance and about how much fun Disc-nub was having in the guild. Being a fan of the comics, and a follower of Divx already, Root decided that DoD was the best fit for him.
Rootette is Root's second character on Dark Iron, the first being the Night Elf warrior, Rootusair. Over time, Root began to suffer from "tanking burnout," after all, tanking is all a warrior did in end-game content prior to TBC. Rootusair's name was derived from a couple of sources -- the random name generator suggested the name Root, but it was already taken. Rootus became the next most desirable name, but it too had been taken. Rootusair was a final attempt to come up with a name before entering the game for the first time, and it stuck. Contrary to popular belief, Rootusair is not a reference to the Unix operating system's root user.
Rootusair was the first character to make it to level 60 and was the only character to have pre-TBC epic equipment. About two months prior to the release of TBC, Root decided to create a Night Elf Druid, Rootette. This quickly became his main character since playing a druid is fun. Rootette hit level 60 (without ever putting one point in Feral) one day prior to the release of TBC.
As soon as TBC hit, Rootette was the new main. Rootette hit 70 almost two weeks after the release of TBC, being not one of the fastest levelers in DoD, but definitely not one of the slowest. Rootette has since battled in Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon's Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep: The Eye and Mount Hyjal. He now leads a raid progressing from Karazhan into Zul'Aman -- Time Travelers.

Rootusair: Root's first character on Dark Iron. Currently guilded with the Disciples of Divx and sitting at level 70.
Current Status: Casually played, specced MS PvP, he is primarily used to PvP.
Shermn: This is a character that Root started playing after one of his summer roommates played him up to level 10. Shermn is a level 58 Dwarf hunter in the Disciples of Divx. Shermn is named after Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman. He used to be followed around by a bear pet named Bummers.
Current Status: Alt-tastic. Shermn is played when Root gets bored with his other characters.
Wurzel: Wurzel is a level 45 Gnome warlock. Wurzel was created to be a member of <Gank Bunnies> - a level 29 twink guild full of gnomes with German sounding names. Wurzel, translated to English, means root.
Current Status: Being played more and more since warlocking is fun.
